Thank you for your interest in adopting from the Humane Society of Northwest Montana. Our goal is to find a loving home and a lasting life long bond. Need a running/hiking partner? We have him! Need a chill couch potato? We have her, too!
We can help you find the perfect match. We connect people and pets based on shared interests, like lifestyle and energy level, so every match is set up for success. We have a variety of cats and dogs available for adoption. You can view all of our adoptable pets online.
We recommend you make an appointment, but we will accept walk-ins.

Important Notes
All animals will be microchipped and spayed or neutered prior to adoption, including puppies and kittens.
There is at least a 24 hour waiting period from the time of application until the time of adoption. This will be a slightly longer period if the animal is receiving spay/neuter surgery.
Adoption applications must be completely filled out in order to be processed.
If you are adopting a dog, she/he must be introduced to all of your current dogs prior to adoption. We have space available for introducing pets to one another at the adoption center.
All pets at your home are required to be current on vaccinations. This includes indoor-only cats.
The future safety, physical well being, and emotional well being for all animals are carefully considered in the adoption application process. Completing an application does not guarantee an approved adoption.
Pet adoptions are based on a best match basis not on a first-come, first-serve basis.
