Foster Hero Program

Our foster care program is literally a lifeline for so many pets. Being a Foster Hero is one of the most rewarding volunteer opportunities that we have to offer. You can cuddle with adorable puppies, bottle feed baby kittens, care for animals while they recover from surgery and so much more! Foster Heroes open their homes and hearts to provide temporary care in a quiet, stress free and loving environment to help give them a better chance at a happy life with their forever family.

As a Foster Hero volunteer, you offer your time, energy and home to animals in need, and the Humane Society of Northwest Montana provides the training and supplies.

All Foster Heroes must:

  • Be at least 18 years of age. Children are welcomed and encouraged to assist with foster care when safe and appropriate.
  • Fill out an application and attend an orientation.

If you have questions about our foster care program, please email us at info@humanesocietypets.com
