Community Pet Pantry

At the Humane Society of Northwest Montana, we believe that no one should have to choose between feeding themselves or feeding their beloved pet. That's why our Nourishing Paws Pet Pantry exists—to keep pets in homes and out of shelters by providing essential food and litter to families facing financial hardship.

Pet Retention Through Compassion

Economic challenges can strike anyone, and when they do, pets often suffer the consequences. By offering free pet food and supplies, our pantry helps prevent the heartbreaking decision to surrender a pet due to temporary financial strain. This not only keeps families together but also reduces the burden on local shelters and rescues.

Who Benefits?

Low-income families and individuals struggling to make ends meet

Seniors on fixed incomes who rely on their pets for companionship

Veterans and disabled individuals who find emotional support in their animals

Anyone experiencing a temporary crisis—job loss, medical emergency, or housing instability

By supporting the "Nourishing Paws" Pet Pantry, you're helping ensure that pets stay where they belong—at home, with the people who love them.
